Harriet Farnsworth Powell Historical Museum Schedule:
There is no admission fee to visit and enjoy the Museum.
Beginning on the Museum will be open every Sunday from 1:pm to 4:pm for the Summer season.
The Museum is also open on the 2nd Saturday, from 1:pm to 4:pm.
The Museum may be open for visits by special appointment.
The Museum will close after Indigenous Peoples' Day for the Winter season.

The Harriet Farnsworth Powell Historical Museum will be open the next three weekends in December, 10 am to 2 pm through December 17, for the sale of 2024 calendars featuring people who helped shape the Essex Community.
Also available are slate tiles from the Fort Ethan Allen Water Tower roof painted by local artists. We have other items for sale. You can even make a donation on the behalf of someone.
All Donations to the General Fund will be used by the Essex Community Historical Society
for their local activities and the operation and maintenance of the
Harriet Farnsworth Powell Historical Museum.
