The Essex Community Historical Society will be opening the Harriet Farnsworth Powell Historical Museum
for the season on every Sunday, from 1 – 4 p.m.  Come and see our new acquisitions – a painting of
the train station by Essex artist, Mary Laliberte and a one-rider winter horse training sleigh used at the Whitcomb Farm in
the early 20th century to train horses for both winter racing and muddy summer conditions. Learn about women’s suffrage
in Vermont and Essex. Take a walk down memory lane with Harriet Farnsworth Powell’s political button collection.
Come enjoy refreshments and talk with the ECHS Board Members about Essex History

Located at 3 Browns River Rd.
near the intersection of Routes 15 and 128.

Museum Schedule:
The opening date of the Museum will be Sunday, July 11, 2021
The Museum is open every Sunday, visiting hours are 1:PM to 4:PM.
The Museum is closed after Columbus Day for the season.
Admission: Free
